"The Green Theater. Stage on Water": bill for august
1 August 2017
Summer is the time for great experience. The last thing you want to do is stay at home before the TV-set, especially on a warm Friday night or a weekend.
"VDNKh Green Theater. Stage on Water" is a perfect cultural entertainment for those in Moscow. It is a unique stage of its kind which is actually located on the water - on Sadovy pond in Ostankino Park.
The view is terrific - the stage mirrors on the water surface and there are boats moving in between the stage and the spectators. Despite being an open-air site, the stage is of very good quality. Due to its great lighting and sound, the performance is well-seen from any of the 747 seats in the spectators seating.
And the performances are really worth seeing. You can see performances of standup comedians, concerts of well-known Russian composers and globally renowned singers. A specialty for August is the famous rock-opera staged here!
Every Sunday the stage hosts the wind bands festival. Admission is free.
The walk to "The VDNKh Green Theater. Stage on Water" will take about 30 minutes - and no noise of metro and stuffiness of the bus. Staying close to VDNKh is a possibility to walk to many other Moscow sites, including the Ostankino TV tower, Alley of Cosmonauts, Sheremetyev's Estate Museum.
