The National Unity Day was introduced in 2005. On this day in 1612 the people's volunteer corps headed by county elder Kuzma Minin and prince Dmitry Pozharsky freed Moscow from the Polish invaders. The day came to symbolize people's unity for liberation of their native land.

On November 4 to 6, Moscow will be hosting traditional celebrations: music bands performances, exhibitions, cooking and art master classes. The festive activities will take place in 4 locations around the Moscow center.

November 4 is a great reason to relax and participate in the open air celebrations in the capital, especially considering that this year we will have three days-off in a raw.
