IV RUSSIAN CONGRESS OF LABORATORY MEDICINE AT VDNKH

October 3 to 5, VDNKh will host the IV Russian Congress of Laboratory Medicine, the largest event in the industry. Specialists in laboratory diagnostics, heads of laboratories, medical institutions, health authorities, as well as representatives of various clinical areas — cardiologists, infectiologists, epidemiologists and many other professionals will gather here.

The congress is organized by the Association of Specialists and Organizations of the Laboratory Service «Federation of Laboratory Medicine», as well as a number of professional associations. The congress is officially supported by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Moscow Department of Health, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the National Medical Chamber, OPORA RUSSII, the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC).

This year, around 8,500 delegates, more than 200 participating companies and 50 scientific sections are expected to attend the event. Main areas:

• basic research on pathogenesis and pathophysiology,
• organization of laboratory diagnostics,
• new technologies,
• preanalytics,
• laboratory and clinical postanalytics,
• clinical significance of laboratory studies,
• quality management and personnel training,
• economics of laboratory service.

The new subjects this year include the history of laboratory medicine, digital medicine, and men's health issues.

The entertaining program for participants will combine jazz performances of musicians, photo exhibitions. Students will be able to visit special themed art zones. As part of the congress, an international exhibition «Laboratory City» and a competition for journalists «Spectrum» will also be held.

The business program includes thematic forums on microbiology, molecular diagnostics, and also on organization of laboratory services.
