“EASY” EXHIBITION AS PART OF THE “TAKING OFF” PROJECT FROM DECEMBER 5 AT VDNKH
3 December 2018
December 5, 2018 till January 8, 2019, the “Easy” exhibition by Anastasia Vepreva will be presented at VDNKh. The winner of the “Art” section of the “Taking Off” competition project and curator Sergey Popov will show the exposition in the halls of the “Cosmos” pavilion set aside for the “Taking Off” project.
The basis of the “Easy” project was the artist’s thoughts on the fragility of life and historical memory. The exhibition consists of three parts - the earth, the clouds and the sky. Visitors will be able to reflect on the problem of historical disasters together with the author.
The first part of the exhibition will include graphic images of the author’s ideas on the transition from the temporary to the eternal, about the earth as the center of catastrophes. In the second part of the exhibition, abstract images of the cloud world will be presented. The third and final part of the project is a large snow-white pedestal with cribs made of papier-mâché, symbolizing the realm of oblivion, floating and purity.
The “Taking Off” project was first held at VDNKh in 2016. Its main goal is to discover and support new names in modern culture. Thanks to the project, young authors have the opportunity to make their own exhibition at VDNKh.
