"Baikonur" play by "ARTiSHOK" theater and AXE engineering theater, July 17 at VDNKh

As part of the V International Festival of Arts “Inspiration”, premiere of the street play “Baikonur” by “ARTiSHOCK” theater (Kazakhstan) and AXE theater (Russia) will be held at the Industry Square of VDNKh on July 17.

The play is a study of the mythology of Baikonur - the place from which spacecrafts fly into space - and is a joint project of the first independent Kazakhstan theater “ARTiSHOK” and St. Petersburg's engineering theater AXE.

For the performance, the theaters designed a special engineering structure which will allow one to “fly into space”. Fantastic costumes, sophisticated make-up, fancy decorations - catapults, balloons... All this is the “Baikonur” performance.

Both historically real and fictional characters will be overcoming gravity in order to conquer outer space.
