On August 29, the Orthodox Christians traditionally celebrate Nut Feast Day. Initially, this holiday was a day in the people's calendar of the Slavs. Its other names are Bread Feast Day or Third Feast Day.
On this day, guests and residents of Moscow will enjoy nut treats and have fun. Cosmos Hotel congratulates everyone on Nut Feast Day and will tell you of the locations in Moscow that will host festivities for their guests on this day.
Pokrovskoye-Stershnevo Park
Pokrovskoye-Stershnevo Park invites you to come at 11:00 on August 29 to the folk festival Nut Feast Day. You will enjoy the games, folk dances, as well as a master class in origami "Crane" and in crafts made of nuts. All events and materials are free, you only need to register beforehand.
To get from Cosmos Hotel to the Pokrovskoye-Stershnevo Park by metro, go from the VDNKh station along the orange line to the Botanichesky Sad station. Then get out of metro and change to MCC - station of the same name - and go to Stershnevo station. Then walk a little less than one kilometer - and there you are in the park! The whole trip takes about 45 minutes.
“Skvorechnik” Ecocenter
“Skvorechnik” Ecocenter invites you to the holiday “It's Nut Feast Day - be our guest”. The program includes a tea party, a lecture on different types of nuts, a fascinating quiz and the “Hard Nut” forest quest. Participation is free, but prior registration is also required.
To get to the Lesnaya Skazka eco-center from Cosmos Hotel, go from the VDNKh station and get off at the Novoyasenevskaya metro station. Then you can either walk a little more than two kilometers, or take bus 262 to the final stop “Proyezd Karamzina”. Your destination is the Bitsa Recreation Area. The whole journey takes a little more than an hour.
